Advanced Glass Processing
At our production facility in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear, we manufacture insulated glazing units, tempered safety glass, decorative leaded, beveled, sandblasted and processed glass. Donwood also manufactures a wide array of hermitically sealed unit products for the insulation of buildings. Being operational for over 17 years has enabled us to perfect our double glazed products in order to meet our customer’s specified requirements. Our double glazed products, guaranteed for 5 years, comply with British Standard Institute EN 1279 quality regulations.
As with single glazing our double glazed products can consist of various combinations of the following types of glass:
Clear Float 4, 6, 8 & 10mm
Patterned 4 & 6mm
Tinted 4 & 6mm (Bronze, Grey, Green & Blue)
Pilkington 'K' 4 & 6mm
We also manufacture our DGU's to varying degrees of thickness ranging from a 6mm air gap up 20mm. As well as providing a choice of unit thickness dimensions, we also produce DGU's using a choice of metallic spacer bar, these are: Gold, silver and bronze.
